Mark & Louise Holland……..
Directors of Food Stuff – Mark & Louise met in England in 1987 both working in hospitality at a Country House Hotel in Tewkesbury, they married in 1989
Mark trained in hotels as an apprentice butcher then as an apprentice chef and Louise in hotel management, tourism and marketing at Birmingham College of Food & Domestic Arts
Both have extensive backgrounds in hospitality and the food industry
Together they opened a boutique B&B on the North East coast of Scotland then ran their country pub and restaurant in Leicestershire before moving to Australia in 1995
In Australia Mark worked as General Manager for Simon Johnson, product development for Neil Perry at Rockpool consulting on the Qantas project, menu development manager for Swiss Air in charge of Asian Pacific, also consulted to Goodman Fielder & other large corporations
Louise originally studied, trained and worked in hotel management in the UK, hotel interior design and a number of other hospitality positions running restaurants and hotels. On arriving in Australia Louise worked as Personal Assistant to Neil Perry & Trish Richards for the Rockpool group for 8 years before beginning Food Stuff with Mark in 2003 on The Northern Beaches
After 10 years of trading at the fine food store in Mona Vale they decided to close the store & cooking school to concentrate on their thriving catering & consulting side of the business
Food Stuff is based in Mona Vale, Northern Beaches and now concentrates on catering, consulting, magazine food pages, cooking classes, demonstrations and domestic & professional kitchen layout consultation
Our catering spectrum covers a wide range of cuisines & styles however we do specialize in paella catering
Mark currently consults to Australian Caravan + RV Magazine (owned by the NRMA) providing food pages for the magazine & we regularly provide cooking classes for the grey nomads at the CMCA rallies which are held twice a year. Mark also provides cooking demonstrations at Food & Wine Fairs and other demonstration kitchens
Mark and Louise have a passion for travel, food and wine and enjoy keeping up with current trends by travelling whenever they have the opportunity
